A common question we see is, “how long is my appeal going to take?” In our experience, we have seen that most higher-level or supplemental claims that were submitted with medical evidence usually takes between 4-9 months.

A board-level appeal can generally take over a year before you receive the docket letter. The docket letter lets you know that it is currently in line to be seen by the judge. Once you receive the docket letter, it could take anywhere from two to four months before you hear the decision from the judge.
